[Chapter 1 General Provisions]

 

Article 1 (Purpose)

This agreement is intended to stipulate the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of users regarding membership registration and service utilization of the services operated by A&J Science.

 

Article 2 (Definitions)

① 'A&J Science' refers to a virtual business place and site operated by a business operator using computer and information communication facilities to provide goods or services to users.

② 'User' refers to both members and non-members who receive services provided by 'A&J Science' under this agreement.

③ 'Member' refers to an individual who has registered with 'A&J Science' by providing personal information, continuously receives information from 'A&J Science,' and can continuously use the services provided by 'A&J Science.'

④ 'Non-member' refers to an individual who uses the services provided by 'A&J Science' without registering as a member.

 

Article 3 (Specification and Amendment of the Agreement)

① 'A&J Science' will post the contents, trade name, contact information (phone, fax, email address, etc.) of this agreement on the initial service screen of the site to allow users to be informed.

② 'A&J Science' may amend this agreement within the scope not violating the Act on Regulation of Terms and Conditions, Electronic Transactions Basic Act, Electronic Signature Act, Act on Promotion of Information and Communication Network Utilization and Information Protection, e-commerce Act, Consumer Protection Act, and other relevant laws.

③ When 'A&J Science' amends the agreement, it will notify users of the effective date and reason for the amendment from 7 days before the effective date until the day before the effective date, along with the current agreement on the initial screen of the site.

④ In case of amending the agreement, the revised terms will only apply to contracts concluded after the effective date, and the terms before the amendment will apply to contracts already concluded. However, if a user who has already entered into a contract expresses the intention to apply the revised terms during the notice period of the revised terms under paragraph 3, and obtains the consent of 'A&J Science,' the revised terms will apply.

⑤ Matters not specified in this agreement and interpretation of this agreement shall be governed by the Electronic Transactions Consumer Protection Guidelines established by the government and relevant laws or commercial practices.

 

Article 4 (Provision and Change of Services)

① 'A&J Science' provides the following services:

 

Other services specified by 'A&J Science.'

② 'A&J Science' may change the content of goods or services to be provided under a contract concluded in the future in case of changes in technical specifications, etc.

③ If 'A&J Science' changes the content of the services it has contracted with users due to changes in technical specifications, etc., 'A&J Science' is not responsible for compensating users for damages incurred as a result. However, this does not apply in case of intentional or negligent acts by 'A&J Science.'

Article 5 (Suspension of Services)

① 'A&J Science' may temporarily suspend the provision of services when reasons such as maintenance, replacement, and malfunction of computer or information communication facilities, or interruption of communication occur.

② In case of service suspension under paragraph 1, 'A&J Science' will notify users in accordance with Article 8.

③ 'A&J Science' is not responsible for damages incurred by users or third parties due to the temporary suspension of service provision under paragraph 1. However, this does not apply if 'A&J Science' has intentional or gross negligence.

 

[Chapter 2 Membership Agreement]

 

Article 6 (Membership Registration)

① Users of 'A&J Science' apply for membership by agreeing to this agreement and completing the membership information according to the registration form specified by 'A&J Science.'

② 'A&J Science' registers the user as a member unless the user falls under any of the following items:

 

In case the applicant has lost membership qualification under Article 7, paragraph 3 of this agreement in the past

However, an exception is made for those who have passed 3 years since losing membership qualification under Article 7, paragraph 3, and have obtained approval for re-registration as a member on the site.

In case there is false, omitted, or incorrect information in the registration details

In case registering the member causes significant technical difficulties for 'A&J Science'

③ The time of establishment of the membership agreement is when the user completes the membership registration process, unless 'A&J Science' notifies the user of the rejection of the registration application.

④ If there is a change in the registered information under paragraph 1, the member must immediately notify 'A&J Science' via email or other methods specified by 'A&J Science.'

Article 7 (Withdrawal of Membership and Loss of Qualification)

① A member may request withdrawal from 'A&J Science,' and 'A&J Science' will immediately process the withdrawal.

② If a member falls under any of the following items, 'A&J Science' may restrict or suspend membership qualification:

 

If false information is registered during the application process

If the member fails to pay the obligations incurred for the services or other A&J Science uses through 'A&J Science' by the due date

If the member interferes with the use of 'A&J Science' by others or steals their information, threatening the order of electronic transactions

If the member violates laws, this agreement, or engages in acts contrary to public morals using 'A&J Science'

③ After restricting or suspending membership qualification, if the same behavior is repeated two or more times or if the reason is not corrected within 30 days, 'A&J Science' may cancel the membership qualification.

④ In case 'A&J Science' cancels membership qualification, the member registration is deleted. In this case, 'A&J Science' will notify the member, provide an opportunity to clarify before deleting the member registration, and comply with it.

Article 8 (Notification to Members)

① When 'A&J Science' notifies members, it can be done to the email address submitted by the member to 'A&J Science.'

② If notifying multiple members, 'A&J Science' may post it on the 'A&J Science' bulletin board for more than 1 week instead of individual notification.

 

[Chapter 3 Service Contract]

 

Article 9 (Request for Services)

① 'A&J Science' users apply for service requests through the following methods on 'A&J Science.'

 

Method of entering name and email

Method of requesting by phone

Method of requesting by mail

Article 10 (Conclusion of Contract)

① 'A&J Science' accepts service requests in accordance with Article 9 unless they fall under any of the following items:

 

If there is false, omitted, or incorrect information in the application, or if accepting the service request is determined to cause significant technical or operational difficulties for 'A&J Science.'

② After 'A&J Science' confirms the acceptance in the form of receiving confirmation notification under Article 12, paragraph 1, the contract is deemed to be concluded when 'A&J Science' signs the contract for the request.

 

[Chapter 4 Payment]

 

Article 11 (Payment Methods)

The payment method for services requested from 'A&J Science' can be made via bank transfer.

① Bank transfer is a method of depositing money into 'A&J Science' account according to the contract.

 

Article 12 (Confirmation of Receipt, Change, and Cancellation of Purchase Request)

① 'A&J Science' notifies the user of the receipt confirmation when there is a service request from the user.

② Upon receiving the confirmation of receipt, the user may request changes or cancellation of the service request immediately if there is a discrepancy in the intention.

③ If there is a request for changes or cancellation of the service request from the user before the contract, 'A&J Science' will promptly process it.

 

[Chapter 5 Obligations of A&J Science and Users]

 

Article 14 (Protection of Personal Information)

① 'A&J Science' collects the minimum information necessary for performing the service contract when collecting user information. The following items are mandatory, and other items are optional:

② When collecting personally identifiable information of 'A&J Science' users, except for the following cases, 'A&J Science' must obtain the user's consent:

In cases where there is a special provision in the law

When necessary for the performance of an electronic transaction contract

When necessary for fee settlement for the provision of services

③ Provided personal information cannot be used or provided to third parties beyond the purpose without the user's consent, and 'A&J Science' is responsible for all such actions. However, exceptions are made in the following cases:

When it is necessary for statistical compilation, academic research, or market research, provided in a form that cannot identify specific individuals

④ When 'A&J Science' is required to obtain the user's consent under paragraphs 2 and 3, it must explicitly state or notify in advance the matters specified in Article 16, paragraph 3 of the Information and Communication Network Utilization Promotion and Information Protection Act (including the name, affiliation, name, and contact information of the personal information manager), and the user may withdraw consent at any time.

⑤ Users may request access to and correction of their personal information held by 'A&J Science' at any time, and 'A&J Science' must promptly take necessary measures. Until 'A&J Science' corrects the error, it will not use the personal information.

⑥ 'A&J Science' minimizes the number of administrators for personal information protection, including credit cards, bank accounts, etc., and is responsible for all damages incurred by users due to the loss, theft, leakage, or alteration of user's personal information, including credit cards, bank accounts, etc.

⑦ 'A&J Science' or third parties who have received personal information from it must promptly destroy the personal information when the purpose of collecting the information is achieved.

Article 15 (Company's Obligations)

① 'A&J Science' shall not engage in acts prohibited by laws and this agreement or contrary to public morals.

② 'A&J Science' shall make its best efforts to continuously and stably provide goods or services in accordance with this agreement.

③ 'A&J Science' must establish a security system for the protection of user's personal information (including credit information) to ensure that users can safely use internet services.

④ 'A&J Science' is responsible for compensating users for damages if users suffer losses due to unfair labeling or advertising activities specified in Article 3 of the Act on Fair Labeling and Advertising of Goods or Services regarding products or services.

⑤ 'A&J Science' will not send commercial emails for profit purposes that users do not want.

 

Article 16 (User's Obligations regarding ID and Password)

① Except for the case under Article 15, the member is responsible for managing the ID and password.

② Members must not allow third parties to use their ID and password.

③ The responsibility for inadequate management of the ID and password, user's fault, and damages caused by the use of third parties shall be borne by the member.

④ If a member becomes aware that their ID and password have been stolen or used by a third party, they must immediately notify 'A&J Science' and follow the guidance provided by 'A&J Science.'

 

Article 17 (User's Obligations)

Users must not engage in the following acts:

① Registering false information or making changes

② Changing information posted on 'A&J Science'

③ Transmitting or posting information (such as computer programs) other than the information specified by 'A&J Science'

④ Infringing on copyrights or other intellectual property rights of 'A&J Science' or third parties

⑤ Damaging the honor of 'A&J Science' or interfering with its business

⑥ Posting obscene or violent messages, images, audio, or other information that violates public morals on the site

 

[Chapter 6 Miscellaneous]

 

Article 18 (Relationship between Connected Sites and Linked Sites)

① 'A&J Science' is not responsible for transactions between users and connected sites independently providing products or services.

 

Article 19 (Ownership and Restriction of Use of Copyrights)

① The copyrights and other intellectual property rights of works created by 'A&J Science' belong to 'A&J Science.'

② Users must not replicate, transmit, publish, distribute, broadcast, or use the information obtained through 'A&J Science' for profit purposes or provide it to third parties without prior consent from 'A&J Science.'

 

Article 20 (Dispute Resolution)

① 'A&J Science' establishes and operates a dispute compensation organization to reflect users' legitimate opinions or complaints and compensate for damages.

② 'A&J Science' prioritizes handling complaints and opinions submitted by users.

③ However, if prompt processing is difficult under Article 20, Paragraph 2, 'A&J Science' will immediately notify the user of the reason and processing schedule.

④ Disputes between 'A&J Science' and users may be settled in accordance with the rules of the Electronic Transaction Dispute Mediation Committee established under Article 28 of the Electronic Transactions Basic Act and Article 15 of the Enforcement Decree.

 

Article 21 (Jurisdiction and Governing Law)

① Lawsuits concerning electronic transactions disputes between 'A&J Science' and users shall be filed with the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act.

② Korean law applies to electronic transaction lawsuits filed between 'A&J Science' and users.

 

Article 22 (Supplementary Provisions)

Matters not specified in these Terms and Conditions are governed by the provisions of the Electronic Transactions Basic Act, Electronic Signatures Act, Door-to-Door Sales Act, and other relevant laws and regulations.
